Science and Math today we had a final build for the egg drop. Students were very productive and were able to complete their rebuilds in 45 minutes. Burlington Electric Dept. came to drop the eggs. After the egg drop students completed final reflections providing information about what worked well and what improvements could be made.

Today in math class we completed lesson 10 of EngageNY curriculum. We did a ratio problem where students had set parameters and needed to solve for the missing numbers.
In Science: We are finishing up our egg drop work and for science. Students produced videos of themselves discussing their egg drop crate. The drop is Wednesday during mods 4-5. We look forward to some successful crates.
This is a short video about fun elements of science much like the egg drop is a fun element of science. In the video a scientist was honored for creating a way to unboil an egg.
Today in class October 5:
Math: Today we did some thinking blocks work on ratios. We also had a guest speaker (Ms. Orlando's brother) come talk to students about how to use math to determine the size of the parachute in regards to weight and speed.
Science: Today we worked on our EggDrop webpage. We are finalizing our work documentation. Students are working on making a video to discuss the design elements they included in their "crate".
